Purchasing Accident Reports

Purchase motor vehicle accident reports online.

Please note: This link leads you to the BuyCrash website, where you can purchase accident reports. You must have the last name of at least one party involved, the date of the accident, and the ten-digit case number in the format, e.g., 2000012345. Abbreviations of the case number, such as 20-12345, will not work. This would be provided by the investigating officer, or you can contact the Records Division at 203-468-3833. You can also obtain a copy at the Records Division of the East Haven Police Department, located at 471 North High Street, East Haven. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 3:45 pm. Requests for reports can also be emailed to the Records Division. The Records Division personnel will then contact you with the cost to obtain the records requested. Professional Standards Division

Parking Permits

We wish to notify you that the Town of East Haven has implemented an intensive parking improvement in the beach area. These changes went into effect on Monday, August 2, 2021. Contact East Haven Police Commission

The Board of Police Commissioners (the governing body of the Police Department) meets the last Tuesday of every month at 7 pm. The meetings are held at East Haven Police Headquarters, 471 North High Street. These meetings are open to the public except portions of the meeting that may be conducted in executive session.
