Town Clerk Draw of Offices to be Audited Post November 7, 2023 Municipal Election
State law (P.A. 07-194) mandates that 5% of all voting precincts have their machine totals hand count audited by Registrars of Voters in a forum open to public inspection following any election or primary. Thursday, November 16, 2023, Secretary Thomas randomly selected 39 voting precincts to have their machine totals audited for the November 2023 municipal general election. Secretary Thomas also selected 15 alternate precincts in case any of the 39 precincts cannot be audited for any reason. East Haven was drawn for 2 of the 39 precincts, # 5 and # 39 (see below).
On Monday, November 27, 2023 at 10 am in the Town Clerk's Office located at 250 Main Street, East Haven, CT, the Town Clerk will randomly draw 3 Offices from District 4 and 3 Offices from the Absentee Ballot Counting to be Audited. This Draw is open to the Public.
